Change Lottie speed

.json · Up to 80 MB

Change animation speed or reverse playback

  1. Upload Lottie JSON or use the sample.
  2. Set a speed multiplier from 0.25 to 4, or enter the desired duration.
  3. Enable Reverse animation to play the frames backward in the exported file.
  4. Download the updated file and check its duration in a player.

An edit that survives export

Unlike preview speed controls, this tool changes the file frame rate. Frame positions and start offsets remain intact. A two-second animation at 2 times speed becomes one second. Time-remap values are adjusted with the new time base.

Reverse the exported animation

Reverse wraps the original artwork in a time-remapped composition. The first output frame matches the last source frame, and the last matches the first. You can combine it with a speed change. Browser playback is checked with lottie-web; verify time-remapping support in your target native player.

Expressions need preparation

Expression-driven motion can depend on elapsed time. Bake expressions into keyframes before changing speed. Stale editor metadata is removed after retiming so it cannot restore old timing when imported.
