Lottieditor vs Lottielab
Compare a small SVG-to-animation workflow, collaboration needs, AI access, and export plans before choosing an editor.
Lottieditor is worth trying if you want to pair your own assistant with an open project and refine the result by hand. Lottielab documents native Figma importing and real-time collaboration, which may matter more for a design team.

Looking for a Lottielab MCP connection?
This is Lottieditor, a separate animation editor. Our MCP endpoint connects an assistant to an open Lottieditor project; it does not connect to Lottielab files or control its editor. Follow the Lottie MCP setup guide to try project pairing, layer edits, and rendered previews in Lottieditor. For a connection to Lottielab itself, check its official integration documentation.
Compare the workflow
| Task | Lottieditor | Lottielab |
|---|---|---|
| Start from an SVG | Import supported SVG shapes; unsupported artwork may become an image. The SVG tool includes an original sample. | Lists SVG uploads and Figma importing. |
| Animate a logo | Native layers, keyframes, groups, and presets. Imported generic Lottie stays inside a composition. | Documents browser animation editing, path animation, and presets. |
| Work with an AI assistant | Remote HTTP MCP with a one-time project pairing code. A Node CLI uses the same relay. | The linked product and pricing pages do not establish equivalent MCP support. Check current integrations directly. |
| Team workflow | Workspace access and project sharing; this comparison does not claim simultaneous collaborative canvas editing. | Documents real-time collaboration, comments, and shared team files. |
| Editor exports | Free accounts: five watermarked GIF exports per month. Pro: unwatermarked Lottie, dotLottie, SVG, PNG, GIF, and supported video. | Lists GIF and MP4 under Free, and Lottie plus HD/4K video under Pro. Check current limits and watermark terms. |
| Pricing | Free and Pro plans. The current price and billing interval appear on our pricing page. | Free, Pro, and Enterprise plans. Per-editor pricing and billing options are on its pricing page. |
Try the same logo task
Use the original source SVG below in both products. Animate its three bars upward with staggered starts, finish the entrance within one second, and hold the final mark. Inspect the first, middle, and last frames, then try the format you actually need.
- Check whether the bars arrive as editable shapes or a flattened image.
- Change only the green bar and confirm the other shapes keep their appearance.
- Adjust the middle keyframe and inspect the easing.
- Export Lottie JSON if your plan allows it, then reopen it in the same target player.
- Compare the price of the plan that completes this task, including the billing interval and number of editors.
Where Lottieditor may fall short
Our SVG handoff is not a native Figma plugin. If your work depends on shared review and Figma imports, test that whole team workflow before switching. Avoid assuming every imported effect becomes an editable vector path.
Check plans before you choose
Our standalone browser tools have their own free downloads. They do not grant unlimited exports from the full editor. The editor checks your account and workspace plan for both manual and AI-requested exports. Compare the live pricing pages for current prices, taxes, billing intervals, and plan changes.
